Prism is a platformer in which the player has to use the head of the character, a prism, to resolve puzzles and to defeat enemies.
This is my second bachelor end-of-year project at e-artsup. The development has begun shortly after the COVID-19 pandemic started, which led to a few issues on the limited time we had. The game has never received updates as the team was busy working on other projects, and this one requiring a lot of work to fix all the issues (level design, animations, art...) and to push it further.
- Shortly after having uploaded the game on itch.io, two Russian YouTubers played the game and left their gameplay video in the comments section. Being the first time the game was played outside of school, it was pretty fun to watch their reactions.
- When the project started, I was developing the character's physics and its head accidentally remained hung to a ledge during a test. I then presented this bug as a feature to the team which loved it. Though it is still in-game, it was unfortunately never used in the level design.
