Card_Hacking is an investigation game taking place on social networks, in which the player incarnates a hacker whose mission is to retrieve the bank details of Richard Richard, a fake and parodic billionaire, by gathering several clues on his Twitter and Instagram accounts before using them in the right way.

The goal was to create a game using existing social networks while adding a moral, albeit only superficially, about the privacy of shared personal information on the Internet.

    Anecdotes:

  • The project has been developed during an assignment similar to a game jam, so its sustainability in time hasn't been a priority. Despite all the changes that have occured on both Twitter and Instagram since then (7 years when I'm writing this), the game is still completely playable without any issue.
  • I wasn't very inspired on how to conclude the story and the time was short. Because I was reading an Assassin's Creed book at the moment, I decided to borrow the "modern day" narration from the license as the whole context behind the investigation.
